Photographed in New York, New York in September 2013. A golden capture of the steel and glass iconic Chrysler building in an adjacent city building. It took a number of weeks to wait till the weather and the sunset cooperated for this capture on the 18th September 2013. I was looking to capture this iconic silver building in a way I had never seen before. Turned gold by the setting sun and reflected off the contrasting opalescent blue tint of the adjacent building. Transience in form and colour. Shot at sunset in Manhattan, a close eye will spot the building’s iconic eagles in the photo. The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco skyscraper in the Turtle Bay neighbourhood on the East Side of Manhattan, New York City, at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue near Midtown Manhattan.
