Kangaroo paw
This one I debated about putting up. I like it a lot, but it is very bold and strong. Would look good as a very large piece I think.
Kangaroo paw's (common name of two genra of the Haemodoraceae family) are native to the South West of Western Australia. The variety amongst the flowers is truly remarkable. For those who haven't seen them before check out this Google Image Search page . Of course they aren't as pretty as the image below.
Enjoy.

Lush anticipation
Well I usually don't put up two images in one day, however today is an exception. This image is a from the spring photowalk series of native spring flowers. Strong contrasting colour and luxuriant forms with a surprise that is about to spring forth. I thought this was a nice contrast to the earlier monotone image. Enjoy.
Textured
Now a quick trip back to Oz, this image is from a sequence featuring spring wild flowers. So I've given it away, that it is a floral related image. Oh well. I like this image for the strong form and texture. The colours work well together, and the odd fragment or two add to break up the repeating patterns. What do you think?
