all it took was one second....Diamonds in the sky

This image has been very popular on my Facebook page(https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kingsley-Burton-Photography/68520705194), so I thought I would share it on the blog.  Shot in Washington whilst being ushered out by security people, I had only moments to capture this.

Something from a photowalk in August...

Sometimes it is good to put a bit of space between shooting and developing the final images.  This one has had a bit of maturing over time, like a fine wine.  This particular shot caught my eye initially as a colour image.  However given a bit of time I have changed my mind, and am presenting it to you as a black and white.  Enjoy.

OK another black and white (I know!  Not my usual style at all!) from the recent Broome visit.

I love the patterns, I love the texture, and I love the contrast.  The image itself was shot through a plane window with a polariser on.

Ok this isn't something I usually do.  I'm really more of a colour guy, but in looking at this image I was taken by it in black and white. I'd be interested in your thoughts?
