Ok so I'm not on a trip... everyone else I know is!

Ok so I'm not on a trip but I was out and about today.... well flat on my back looking at the sky trying to take a picture of a giant Australian flag and bugger-me... a whole heap of planes from Pearce Airforce Base did a fly past Perth City - 4:30pm Thursday afternoon just as I was taking some shots! Go figure the odds on that!!!

Good shot or what!

'twas the night before the wedding

Well we arrived safely and caught up with everyone with a few drinks by the pool, then on the balcony. The boys had cigars and pondered!

Next we went out for dinner, very kindly hosted by Mum. It was very yummy.

Everyone was then anxious to get an early night before the big day.... yes I'm getting there... dragging it out :D

Off to the islands....

So Mum picked Paul and I up in Brisbane and then we all caught the flight over to Hamilton, which is where everyone else was... well except for Bruce, Caroline and Selena :D Mum coming down the stairs with 'dont you dare crush my wedding frock' :D

Next we where treated to a real surprise. The Hayman Island boat was somewhere inbetween islands and they wanted to know if we would mind having a helicopter trip across to the island... WOOHOO! On to Hayman.

back again

Well we are back! And what a trip! Totally awesome! Both Deane and David looked great, relaxed and really enjoyed themselves. So for those who don't know my baby sister got married on the weekened. Though there was a surprise or two with the wedding. The first was that it was on beautiful Hayman Island, the second was that they told the guests that it was on Hamilton Island and then they surprised everyone with a specially organised trip to Hayman via our family friends John and Annie - thanks guys!

OK so on to the fun but a quick view of twenty or so images - now these are the final ones and they haven't been 'processed'... So first the flight over.... and the obligatory West to East sunset :D

...oh and a little treat....

Welcome back, yes the blog is 'light' again. The next journey is about to commence... but first a little treat from the USA trip... This just arrived in the post today.

We're not sure where Paul's picture is at the moment... but I'm sure it will turn up.

So, we are off to a secret location of my sister's wedding. Why is it a secret... well if I told you then it wouldn't be! All I can tell you at the moment is that we are travelling for most of tomorrow to Brisbane, overnighting in Brisbane and then travelling out to Hamilton Island on Friday morning. BUT... more is to come... :D

The Blog Will Be Dark....

As with any good show, this blog will go on a break till the next travel adventure... or "Dark"... till September 2006, where there is a fabulous party on an exotic island that we have been invited too! And there is something interesting about it! A bit like Big Brother??!!?? Well sort of...

Stand by....

Eartha Kitt was great!

Had a great night out with Erana and Emil and Co. at the Cafe Caryle and saw a legend perform - Eartha Kitt. Fantastic! More on that later... for now we start the long trip home....

later...

The Metropolitan Museum of Art...

Well we have been to most of the bigger museum's and galleries whilst we have been here and all I can say is that they have been spectacular! The Met, MOMA and the Guggenhiem have been outstanding. Just a taste of some of the images from these places. See Gary, we have been very good keeping to the tour guide directions :D

Wandering on 5th Ave

So here we are just strolling along 5th Ave looking for Susie's diamonds... and blow-me-down, but the shop is under renovation... shame... oh well ;~)

I just love New York!

Ok, on the theme of things you see around town... this was very cute today... made me stop and look twice, almost like that A&F crew!

I now feel like a dirty old man (LOL)

Ok, been very bad today - out shopping mostly - err, depending how you classify it, it was successful!

Now yesterday we happened to pass the Abercrombie & Fitch shop - a clothing store for the young, cool, and those who wear their pants hanging off their pert butts! If that wasn't bad enough the door b*tches looked like this!

And I initally walked passed the one who had his top off and was only wearing shorts. Good grief! I came over all hot and sweaty!!! Apparently a guy told us that they took 3 days to select the store crew. Time for a lay down again...maybe a cold shower first...LOL!

I'm just jealous that I can't (probably shouldn't) wear hipesters anymore.
