we are back...

yes, we are back....

only a couple more pic's to go... spent most of the time reading by the pool... it was heaven!

Two new favourite resturants

Two favourite resturants are now Sarong and Sip, both in Seminyak.

Sarong is Thai, Indian fusion I think, and absoultely lovely decor and service. Delicious food. Been twice, might go again tonight.

Sip is a French resturant on Jalang Legian (opposite Bintang Supermarket) and is devine if your hankering for some tasty european french flavours.

Both highly recommended and very memorable.

a religious experience

Well just had a religious experience! And it was amazing. Just had a massage by Made Tabanan (I Made Surya Gunawan) who has got to be the best masseur I have experienced. If any of you are in Bali let me know and I will pass Made's contact details to you... well worth the experience... hey, and even Paul had a massage too!

out and about...

We enjoyed a long day out driving around ... err no, we didn't drive, Adi our driver did! Anyone who has been to Bali knows that it takes a special skill, talent and fearless determination to drive on these streets!

Anyway we travelled about 10 hours had a great time and saw some great parts of the island. Still haven't got to the North or West parts of the island yet.

On the way back to Ubud (up in the moutains) we stopped at a very popular spot where the padi fields are just great. I have a panorama coming. Anyway whilst we are taking pictures of the scenery (and of each other) Paul gets hassled by one of the locals. She was incredibly persistent! End result, Paul laughing his head off and relinquishes and buys some very nice clothes.

out and about in the Monkey Forest

OK so we are out and about in the Monkey Forest and the thing you do is make sure you dont have any sunglasses or anything available for the monkeys to steal... well I thought my pocket was secure!!

... things you only do with your beloved other.... part IV

Well in the most yummiest Singapore Chilli Crabs ever!

Yummy new resturant called Sarong in Bali, Seminyak.

I had some lovely cocktails - Kaprioska, White chocolate martini and a Cardamon Martini.... the walk home was interesting!

Dinner was sublime. The decor amazing (note to self - need to talk to Gary about the back gazbo or as they call it here the Bale) The service very attentive. hmmmm..... another lovely day!

Oh, no pitcures of the Chilli Crab - splater-rama and fingers and nut crackers.... it was messy but absoultely yummy, but not to share publically!

;-)

Just back from dinner ..

Dinner tonight was at Ultimo - though we did try to find a new funky new place called Sip - but no luck.

Anyway - a couple of snaps by the pool from tonight - I'll get the big camera out tomorrow.

So we have landed

Landed and in the villa, starting to relax. For those we haven't told, we have a lovely villa in Seminyak with a Butler and Driver, who are both very attentive... (just working out how to get them immigration visas! Rudy our Butler is a legend.)

Anyhoo... so what does one do in Bali for a couple of days.... yep, on the sunbed relaxing in the warmth reading.

Well the new Terminal 3 in Singa's is impressive

Well, after a couple of hours walking around Terminal One and Two in Singapore airport we came across Terminal Three - its new - opened in January and ITS HUGE!

Fantastic fitout Gary! I'll take some pics on the way back through.

But they have five areo-bridges for the A380's - which are slightly shorter in length than the 777, so it looks a a fat slug. Though no doubting it - it holds more people. Just as we where heading back to our flight there was one there loading.

So what do you do in four days...

Well if your the lad, then you make a very short trip and back to a international meeting in Greece! The boy snuck this one in as it was an important clinical meeting and didn't want to stay away from home so... two days flying for a day and a half meeting! I love him!

Lunch at the boys...

Had a very scrummy lunch at the boys the few weekends ago... and had the opportunity to play with a new lens that was on loan to me. A lovely wide angle lens that did very well in low light.

Thank you to the boys for a very yummy lunch and a fantastic afternoon!

k d lang concert

Well we were also treated to a very special Christmas pressie this year, some tickets to k d lang in concert in Kings Park.

The night was fantastic, music was great, and k d was awesome!

And all I will say is that Barb's look sums up what everyone was thinking around us for the couple of women in front of us who got a little too squiffy, loud and threw up during the concert.

Some shots of Jacqui

The shots of Jacqui where done two weeks ago whilst walking around Subiaco.

We came across an old derelict house and used it for a couple of shots. Really pleased with some of these too.

... a couple of model shoots

Been a bit busy with shooting some portfolio shoots over the last month.

Some interesting ones - something arty.

The first is Evan.

A great session with some new lighting gear - very expensive - well ok - modified fish tank fluro's! Haha...

What do you think?

wow ... its been a month since the last post....

Well things have been very busy down this neck of the woods. Lots has been going on and for those of you who we haven't been in contact with - our apologies.

Work has been very busy for both of us and getting time to relax is even harder! LOL have to work at getting some relaxation time.

Well in having a look through the pictures on the disk I can see I have a few updates to do. First though I did loose my NAS (network attached storage) device - a 2 terabytes of images - for those of you who aren't techno orientated its a shit load of images. Luckily the gizmo just has a faulty chip and the data on the drives is still there. This is the main back up drives so I've had to do a back up of the backup..... good grief! Lets just say that took a couple of weekends to resolve.

For all of you who haven't done so - please back up your images - if you loose them - there'll be tears!

Now on to the pictures....
