from Thursday night....

I'm a cosmic smiley face.... or more accurately the moon, venus and jupiter in a once in 2,000 year alignment!

up by Broome...

As I was flying out of Broome, up the north of the state... this is what I spied....

More photography to come

Well last week rushed by, and yes, it was my birthday last week. And when it occurs on a week day I take the day off. How decadent is that! Yes, I like to take the day off to do fun things... which envitably means playing with the camera.

First up though, met with a model and discussed some concepts for an upcoming shoot with her... going to be fabo... and a little different. Watch this space.

Next it was out and about, truddling around Perth doing a combination of a photography project and location scouting all in one. Spent a lovely 6 hours walking around and shooting. FAB!

Oh so where are the photos... they are coming, they are coming... the series isn't complete yet, but if you ask nicely I'll give you a taste.

:-)

Kings

too much flashing....

OK - for those of you who know me, I've been a little possessed about strobe lighting recently and courtesy of David Hobby and Joe McNally have tried my hand at off-camera flash and using the strobes in manual. Well the output - if your by yourself it means taking images of yourself... so one Sunday afternoon this was the result - unedited - 139 images and a fun afternoon and the learning was huge!

Black Calla Lillies

OK so the images below aren't from lunch!

Though I did these a few weeks ago. These particular lillies have recently become available in Perth and I thought they were just fab! The lillies are a very dark/black purple and are gorgeous. I tried to capture their beauty but I think its an series of images I will need to work on.
What do you think? Do you like them? Oh, Gary thinks they are very lyrical.

An update

So its been a while since I last updated. In fact I think... just checking... yup... it was when we got back from Bali.

Well since then it has been very busy. Work has been busy for both of us. Paul involved in all the planning and development stuff at the moment as well as a full clinical load and head of department! He is a great guy and my love. I think he's a such a remarkable and loving guy, yeah yeah yeah I know I biased... hey its ok, he NEVER reads the blog... he only checks which images I put up ;-)

Work for me has been busy too. Doing some work on Aboriginal health and the COAG (Council of Australia Governments) at the moment on top of all the other stuff. Busy and very tight time frames.

The good news is though we haven't only been doing work! We have been social as well mainly with dinners... oh which reminds me I have some images from lunch last week I have forgotten to do. OK, going to post this and then find the camera.
